Hello, and welcome to my web-page.  I am beginning my second year as the Career and Technical Education Director for the District.  Let me share a few highlights about my career.
 
I began my career as an educator/coach in 1990 in the Laurel School District.  I taught Social Studies and coached Baseball and Football in the Laurel District for 6 years.  In 1997 I moved to the Jones County School District and began working at South Jones High School where I spent 6 years as a Social Studies teacher and Baseball and Softball coach.  In 2003 I accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Petal High School and I served in that position for 12 years.  In 2015 I accepted the position of Career and Technical Education Director for the District.  
 
I am a 1982 graduate of Columbia High School.  I received my BS Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Business Administration and  a minor in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from William Carey University.
I am married to Kimberly Peden Pittman and we have two sons, Brett, age 16 and Colby, age 13.  My wife is the counselor at Petal Upper Elementary.  Our family is active members at Petal-Harvey Baptist Church.
